"The Bonsai Garden of Miami"
Beginners Class
Usually our 3 hours classes/workshops take place the third and fourth Saturday of each Month from 9:00 am till 12:00 noon.
We will be covering basic care, wiring, potting, pruning and basic styling.
We will provide you with all the necessary tools and accesories that you are going to work with and you may purchase the tools at any time in our retail store.
Participants are welcome to bring their own tree.
Intermediate and Advance Classes are also available where we offer Grouping, Styling and other advance classes.

Our Instructor
Randy Brooks
Randy Brooks has been involved in bonsai for too many years to start counting now.
He is a past president of the Bonsai Society of Miami, and was its newsletter editor also. He is still a member, and is also a member of the Gold Coast Bonsai Society, and a member of the Chishiki-Gawa Study Group. He enjoys all species and forms of bonsai, but has been nicknamed "The Juniper Guy" because of his passion for them. He conducts seminars, workshops, and demonstrations throughout Florida, and really enjoys teaching others about this art form that he loves so much.
If you come to one of Randy Brooks classes, be prepared to work and gain the knowledge needed to soon become a master of the art of bonsai and to learn to maintain your own personal bonsai trees. Randy will provide you with all the tools and accesories necessary to succeed at this wonderful hobby/art of bonsai, but Randy feels that the best teacher is having hands on experience and learning all the basics and care to maintain your own personal bonsai tree. Randy will continually test and challenge you while at the same time keeping everything upbeat and - above all - fun!
